Using the modifier keys startup criteria
Sometimes using time based criteria isn't enough to cover all the unpredictable situations that life gives us. For such occasions, Startupizer allows you to specify manual control based on modifier keys. You can setup as many as four different modifier keys criteria.
You can setup each criteria to only start items if the given key is pressed or to prevent starting if the key is pressed. The first option is useful for items that you only want to start occasionaly, but still allow an option to start them here and there. The latter is useful for items that you want to start normally, but want to prevent startup occasionaly. For example, you only want to start certain items if option key is pressed or you want to prevent opening items when command key is pressed.
Although modifier keys criteria allows you to fine-tune your setup, it requires manually pressing a key to invoke the rule.
